As well as installations of oil-fired boilers, Bentley group is also qualified in the installation (or replacement) of oil tanks too, and our service includes disposal of your existing oil tank. All work is conducted in line with building and environmental regulations.
Oil Tank Inspection
When was the last time you had your oil tank inspected? Tanks should be inspected annually to ensure there are no fire or environmental risks due to leaks. Give us a call and we can ensure all is safe and sound.
Oil Tank Cleaning
Sludge and water can build up at the bottom of your oil tank over time. The build up of water (condensation build-up) can lead to corrosion of metal tanks (and possible leaks therefore), whilst the cocktail of water and oil (or biofuel), plus rust possible, creates sludge. Oxidized metal and water can also be drawn into outlet pipes and end up mixed into the fuel supply for the heating system. Any or all of these issues can damage the system and create blockages. Best practice advice is to have your oil tank cleaned every five years – when did you last have yours done?
Powerflush
A build up of limescale and corrosion debris could mean your central heating system is less efficient or effective than it should be. Symptoms include:

  • Up to 30% of your system’s fuel being wasted
  • Boiler noise
  • Cold spots on your radiator
  • Frequent venting – when the top of a radiator is cold during operation, usually air or hydrogen is to blame. Hydrogen gas can build up as a by-product of electrolytic corrosion and is flammable (due caution required).
  • Pump seizure and failure – the abrasive and magnetic properties of black oxide sludge increases shaft and bearing wear in pumps causing them to stick or fail.

Powerflushing is the most efficient and effective way to clean a central heating system, to avoid the above issues. The principle is to create a powerful fresh water flow under controlled conditions to remove debris from the system.

Powerflushing will:

  1. Improve radiator performance and heat output
  2. Extend the life of the boiler
  3. Avoid costly repairs, breakdowns & call-out charges
  4. Validate the boiler warranty
  5. Reduce fuel bills and save money
